Elastic OSC Update 2.1

Elastic OSC 2.1 is out now for macOS, Windows and iOS. The headline feature is a completely redesigned preset section – and in this video, sound designer Andrea Cichecki shows you around the new preset browser while playing some of the new sounds.

A new way to find your sounds

With more than 600 presets by renowned sound designers, finding the right one matters. The new preset browser lets you filter by tags, artist names and synthesis engines, search by name and sort the results – so you can jump straight to, say, all chord patches or every preset by your favourite designer. Andrea Cichecki has also contributed a fresh set of new presets.

Portamento and mod wheel

  • New mono and stereo portamento modes, each with two styles: Legato and Always
  • Three mod wheel options: control the amount of recorded automations (as before), of the LFO modulations, or of both at once

Smaller improvements

  • Import several presets at once instead of one by one
  • No more clicks or artefacts when switching presets
  • Preset loudness has been aligned across the library

How to update

On the desktop, open the LICENCE tab in the plugin and click “CHECK FOR UPDATES”. Please close your DAW while installing the new version. On iPhone and iPad, the update arrives through the App Store.
