The complete Elastic OSC user manual is now online. Instead of scrolling through a PDF, you can read the full guide to our macro-oscillator synth right in your browser – on desktop, tablet or phone.
Everything about Elastic OSC in one place
Elastic OSC is an 8-voice polyphonic synth for macOS, Windows, iOS and Android, built on the open-source code of Mutable Instruments Plaits. The manual walks you through every part of it in 13 chapters, with screenshots of each section:
- The oscillator and all 24 synthesis engines, from virtual analog and FM to granular, chords and drums
- The effects: filter, distortion, modulation, delay and reverb
- Automation recording, LFOs and the LFO mixer
- MPE, the arpeggiator, MIDI settings and Ableton Link
- Playing Elastic OSC on a phone
Made for reading while you play
A chapter navigation on the left follows you as you scroll. It highlights the section you are reading and shows how far you have come, and one click takes you to any chapter. On a phone, the navigation folds into a slim bar at the top of the screen, so the content gets the full width.
Every heading has its own link. If you want to show a friend how the LFO mixer works, or answer a question in a forum, you can share a link straight to that section.
Prefer PDF?
The printable version is still there: you can download the Elastic OSC manual as a PDF from the top of the online manual. We will keep both versions up to date with every new release.
